A key part of the role will involve developing software using National Instruments LabVIEW, alongside interfacing with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) instrumentation, custom-designed hardware and other software technologies.You don’t need to be an expert when you join us. You could be a recent graduate, or approaching graduation, with a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. We’d particularly like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:                      A degree, or equivalent qualification, in Systems Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics.An interest in software development, systems engineering, test, measurement or control.Some experience with LabVIEW, whether gained through university, an academic project, placement, internship or personal project.A basic understanding of software development principles and structured problem solving.An analytical approach and the ability to investigate and resolve technical problems.An interest in understanding how hardware and software systems interact.A willingness to learn new technologies and develop your engineering knowledge.A genuine passion for engineering and an ambition to build a long-term career in systems engineering.It would be advantageous, but is not essential, if you have:Completed an engineering project involving hardware and software integration.Previous industrial placement, internship or work experience within an engineering environment.An interest in the aerospace, defence, medical or automation industries.Most importantly, we’re looking for graduates who are curious, motivated and excited by the opportunity to learn.
