You will work closely with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to support technical sales activity and grow global markets.

Responsibilities

• Support and qualify inbound enquiries from customers and distributors

• Build and maintain customer relationships

• Maintain accurate CRM records and customer communication history

• Learn about customer applications, technical requirements, and commercial challenges

• Support the sales process from initial enquiry through to quotation and follow-up

• Support preparation of quotations, proposals, and supporting technical documentation

• Work closely with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to support customer requirements

• Attend customer meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and demonstrations as required

• Must have the right to work full time in the UK

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Curious mindset with an interest in understanding customer needs and applications

• Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities

• Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn

• Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy

Desirable criteria

• Degree qualified, or working towards a degree, in engineering, physics, photonics, or a related technical discipline

• Previous internship, placement, retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience

• Exposure to engineering, scientific, or manufacturing environments

• Interest in lasers, photonics, optics, or scientific instrumentation

• Experience attending conferences, exhibitions, or networking events
