Job Description

Join us as a Graduate Process Engineer and help design the practical solutions needed for a more secure, efficient and low-carbon energy system. From hydrogen and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) to low-carbon fuels, heat integration and the decarbonisation of existing assets, you’ll apply chemical and process engineering principles to complex, real-world challenges.

With support from experienced colleagues and a dedicated mentor, you’ll build your technical confidence, contribute fresh ideas and see how thoughtful engineering decisions can reduce emissions, improve performance and create lasting value for communities and clients.

Our Energy Transition business combines deep process engineering expertise with innovative solutions to support the global energy transition. The team work with national and international energy companies, governments, and project developers to design and deliver sustainable, efficient systems for the future of energy.

As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will get involved with the following:

• Develop process designs, including flow diagrams, heat and material balances, and equipment specifications

• Contribute to feasibility studies, concept selection, and front-end engineering design (FEED) for energy transition projects

• Support thermal design work, such as heat exchanger sizing and energy efficiency assessments

• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for hydrogen, CCUS, and low-carbon fuels

• Explore opportunities to contribute to advisory projects, including techno-economic evaluations and strategic assessments

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a masters degree (obtained no earlier than 2025) or expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:  

•  Process Engineering

• Chemical Engineering

This opportunity will require you to be eligible to achieve security clearance.  Security clearance is dictated by the types of projects we work on and normally requires you to be a UK British national or lived in the UK for five years or more.  -
