M&E Electrical Apprentice

Assist with the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems in a hospital while gaining hands-on engineering experience through an apprenticeship.

Equans is looking for an M&E Electrical Apprentice to join our team at Central Middlesex Hospital. This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

• Support the Estates Management team providing a 24 hour maintenance service
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance and remedial work on electrical and mechanical hospital equipment including emergency lighting transformers and motors
• Promote excellent customer service and liaise with other departments on maintenance issues
• Observe all health and safety regulations including Health and Safety at Work Act COSHH and EAWR
• Diagnose faults repair and maintain complex equipment following hospital technical guidance after suitable training
• Work collaboratively with other trades where needed
• Maintain ongoing personal and professional development through training programmes
• Undertake any other reasonable duties relevant to the role

Who are you?

• Four GCSEs Grade 4 or above including Maths English and Science or equivalent
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
