We are growing our Ground Engineering team across the UK and looking for a Graduate Engineer to be part of it.

You will contribute to some of the UK’s most prestigious and complex infrastructure programmes while working alongside experienced engineers who will guide your path to Chartership through a tailored development plan.

Typically you will be:

• Carrying out a broad range of geotechnical engineering design activities, from collating and interpreting ground investigation data, running geotechnical analyses and numerical models, to preparing calculations and technical reports that meet project requirements and the highest quality standards

• Undertaking engineering geological mapping and ground modelling at site scale, producing desk study reports, ground investigation reports, geotechnical design reports, and ground investigation specifications

• Supporting and supervising ground investigations on site, gaining experience across a variety of ground conditions and project types

• Checking calculations and technical drawings from other engineers, expanding your technical judgment and ability to notice details

• Applying and promoting engineering best practice across the team, including use of in-house tools such as our carbon calculation tool, supporting our commitment to sustainable and responsible design

• Planning and prioritising your workload with support from your project manager, tracking and reporting progress against project budget and programme

• Handling your own deliverables responsibly while ensuring accuracy and quality by thoroughly checking your work

• Attending site visits or client meetings

 On top of this you will have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in either Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering (BEng, BSc, Meng, MSc), or Geology together with an MSc in either Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering, either completed or due to be awarded this summer

• A genuine motivation to become a Chartered Engineer or Chartered Geologist, with the resolve and persistence to get there

• Some practical experience in an engineering environment, whether through a year in industry, summer placements, or a final year project or dissertation with real-world geotechnical, geological or engineering geology application

• Interest in and enthusiasm for engineering geology and geotechnical engineering, together with curiosity about subsurface behaviour

• The ability to work and collaborate effectively within diverse, multi-disciplinary project teams

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical findings clearly and professionally to colleagues and clients

• Commitment to quality, precision and technical excellence
