Are you a recent graduate ready to kickstart your career in operations and leadership?

At Biffa, We're looking for ambitious graduates to join Biffa as Operations Graduates, developing the skills and experience needed to progress into a Business Manager role.

This structured programme will give you hands-on exposure to managing people, resources, and client relationships—ensuring operations are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with financial targets and contractual requirements.

What you’ll gain:

What you’ll be doing:

As an Operations Graduate, you will rotate across key business areas, including:

  • People Management
    Employment law, training, performance management, employee engagement, and communication.

  • Safety Management
    Health & safety legislation, safe systems of work, investigations, and compliance.

  • Finance
    Budget setting, invoicing, forecasting, cost tracking, and performance analysis.

  • Logistics
    Vehicle planning, utilisation, and maintenance.

  • Operations
    KPI tracking, productivity reviews, and service delivery standards.

  • Contract & Client Management
    Understanding contracts, managing client relationships, identifying improvements, and delivering social value.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree (or equivalent)

  • Strong Excel & IT skills

  • A proactive, can-do attitude

  • Confidence communicating with stakeholders

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Willingness to travel (UK-wide, occasional overnight stays)
