Graduate Commercial Executive

Supports the Commercial Director with business performance analysis, reporting, stakeholder coordination, commercial projects and senior-level decision-making.

The Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate with strong analytical skills, excellent organisational abilities and the ambition to kick-start your commercial career?

We're looking for a bright, proactive and enthusiastic recent graduate to join Biffa Waste Services as a Graduate Commercial Executive, working directly alongside our Commercial Director.

This is a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to senior leadership, commercial decision-making and the day-to-day running of a major business.

We're looking for someone who can become the Commercial Director's right-hand person — proactive, organised, analytical and confident in taking ownership.

What You'll Be Doing

• Attend key business reviews and commercial meetings, capturing decisions, actions and next steps.

• Track and follow up on actions, ensuring priorities progress and commitments are delivered.

• Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations, reports and business review materials.

• Work with commercial and operational data, using Excel to identify trends, insights and opportunities.

• Support the Commercial Director with key projects, business priorities and performance reporting.

• Liaise with stakeholders across commercial, finance and operations to gather information and drive actions forward.

• Proactively anticipate requirements and help keep the Commercial Director informed and organised.

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in your attitude, potential and willingness to learn than previous commercial experience.

You'll ideally be:

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

• Proactive and self-motivated, with the confidence to take ownership.

• Analytical and comfortable with numbers, with good Excel skills.

• A strong communicator, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

• Curious and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in how businesses operate.

• Adaptable, reliable and professional, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

You'll be a recent graduate, ideally with a business or analytical background, although we're open to all degree disciplines.

Good Excel and PowerPoint skills are desirable. Previous commercial or waste industry experience is not essential.
