Design, analyse, inspect, and supervise structural engineering projects while developing towards Chartered Engineer status within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.JOB DESCRIPTIONDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Undertake assignments in the UK and overseas, as directedAdopt procedures for standardisation of work products and deliverables, and peer review to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery of the Company’s technical work productStructural design, assessments and finite elements analysis using various softwareStructural inspection and onsite works supervision in the UK and overseasAdhere to Company procedures in the management, delivery and administration of ServicesHave an understanding and awareness of the company values and business plan and your contribution to bothEmbrace and contribute to the Health and Safety culture of the CompanyObserve and maintain Company Health and Safety Policies across all activitiesBe aware of and engage with the Environmental objectives of the Group and consider sustainability in your project and company rolesPERSON SPECIFICATIONKEY EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Accredited First Class/2:1 Masters Degree in Civil EngineeringGraduate Member of appropriate professional body (ICE or IStructE)Ambition to become a Chartered EngineerBasic knowledge of Eurocodes and other relevant national and international industry standardsBasic awareness of forms of contract, construction methodologies and civil engineering proceduresDesire to work in a consultancy environment on large scale infrastructure projectsCompetent in the use of MS Office programmes and ability to develop competence in use of proprietary structural analysis programmes to suit specific role requirementsCOMPETENCIES:Technical: Strong problem solving abilities, analytical and numeracy skills; highly results orientatedCommunication: Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively to stakeholdersCritical Thinking: Able to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met whilst maintaining high quality workTeam: Strong team working to contribute to and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teamsPERSONAL STYLE AND BEHAVIOUR:Self-motivated and committed, with a high degree of integrityA team player who seeks to positively contribute to the working group with a collaborative attitudeConvincing in terms of a capacity to translate objectives into effective practical stepsAble to perform effectively within changing environments; demonstrates willingness and flexibility of availability to meet business needsDemonstrates a strong need to achieve, setting high standards for self and others.
