This graduate civil engineering role focuses on assisting with the technical delivery of above-ground and below-ground water infrastructure projects, preparing engineering drawings and calculations, and writing technical reports under the guidance of a Lead Civil Engineer.Summary:The Graduate Civil Engineer will assist with delivering the technical civil engineering deliverables on above ground and below ground projects, working in conjunction with the Delivery Team and the Lead Civil Engineer, in accordance with the requirements set down by the Lead Civil Engineer. This role will be responsible for providing and ensuring the quality of project deliverables and will assist in the evaluation of the most efficient solutions to project problems.Main responsibilities:To achieve the efficient technical delivery of projects in the discipline.To work within a team to solve difficult problems.To assist with the preparation of technical reports, drawings, calculations including Works and Site Information documentation.To assist with the development of programmes, estimates and contract preparation.To promote the most appropriate Health and Safety Legislation with guidance and supports from the Lead Civil Engineer.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to successful project delivery.Undertake Continued Professional DevelopmentYou'll need:Skills / Qualifications / ExperienceDegree in Civil EngineeringAbility to work as a teamThe ability to influence outcomes and staff who are not necessarily part of the direct function.Good organisational skills and ability to follow procedures to ensure quality is maintained. Excellent technical report writing, editorial skills, and good oral communication.It will be a bonus if you have:Skills / Qualifications / ExperienceWork experience within an Engineering team or similar functionEmployees are required to be flexible and to be prepared to perform duties and other tasks within their capabilities.
