Support the delivery of fire engineering projects by developing fire strategies, conducting technical analyses, and providing design and construction guidance across a range of building sectors.Bureau Veritas is looking for Graduate Fire Engineer to join our team of industry leading experts, providing high quality technical guidance and innovative solutions for a diverse client base.The role will involve providing comprehensive fire engineering services throughout all stages of building design, construction and operation ensuring the current standards and codes of practice are used throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include:Develop and maintain excellent industry relationships and information on fire engineering projects and opportunities.Provide technical guidance and expertise into key areas within proposals and tenders.Take responsibility for managing fire engineering projects across variety of sectors, including project team, progress and budget.Liaise with and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and approval bodies.Attend meetings where required, updating project status and adjusting delivery models and schedules where appropriate.Review project technical information to prepare fire strategies and provide on-going support from initial concept through to final completion.Undertake fire engineering analysis (e.g. radiation, smoke modelling, structural etc.) and third party reviews.Provision of design and construction support including site visits where required.Develop, analyse, review and issue reports. Candidate requirements include:Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification. It will give you the opportunity to work closely with the team on a number of key commercial real estate projects that the business has been instructed on. At the Graduate level, you will be working closely with our senior Associate Directors and Directors with a designated APC mentor to help you achieve chartered status. As part of this you will also work on gaining new skills and gain exposure to working on large scale commercial projects. At the Surveyor level the main aim is to work on enhancing your skills as a Building Surveyor by working on more complex matters in conjunction with our Associate Directors and Directors, taking responsibility for your own projects and pieces of work and gaining client exposure at the earliest possible point so that you can start taking on your own client responsibilities and relationships. At the Senior Surveyor level the goal will be to continue working on your skills as a Building Surveyor once again with mentorship from our Directors and Associate Directors in the business.
