From our modern UK test and engineering centre in Coventry we work on exciting e-powertrain projects contributing to significant reduction in CO2 in transportation and mobility.TasksAs a Graduate Powertrain Engineer you will support the development and calibration of powertrain systems. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining practical exposure to real-world engineering challenges while developing your technical and analytical capabilities.Support calibration and development activities for conventional internal combustion, hybrid and battery electric powertrain systemsAssist in the collection, processing and analysis of test dataWork closely with senior engineers to support issue investigation and resolutionContribute to validation activities, including test bench and vehicle-based testingParticipate in global test trips and development activities at customer sitesDevelop knowledge of calibration tools, processes and methodologiesQualificationA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with an automotive background preferredRecent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience, including placements or internshipsBasic understanding of powertrain systems, vehicle fundamentals, and automotive engineering principlesFundamental knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and automation principles as applied to automotive applicationsExposure to calibration, data analysis, or automotive communication tools (e.g. INCA, CANalyzer) would be advantageousUnderstanding of CAN bus systems, sensors, actuators, and data acquisition is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to learn and developGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamEligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship, now or in the futureWHAT WE OFFERShape the mobility of tomorrow, being involved in projects that will develop carbon reduction in the automotive industryAttractive salary package, depending on experience and specialist knowledge25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPension contributionTraining opportunities as part of FEV UKDeath in Service is 4 times Annual SalaryCycle to work bike purchasing schemeSalary sacrifice lease car schemeFree Eye TestsFree Vaccinations (such as flu vaccination)Mobile Phone Contributions (where applicable)Option to Buy and Sell Annual leaveSocial eventsFree workplace car parking (where applicable)Hybrid working, family friendly policies
