From our modern UK test and engineering centre in Coventry we work on exciting e-powertrain projects contributing to significant reduction in CO2 in transportation and mobility.
As a Graduate Powertrain Engineer you will support the development and calibration of powertrain systems. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining practical exposure to real-world engineering challenges while developing your technical and analytical capabilities.
Support calibration and development activities for conventional internal combustion, hybrid and battery electric powertrain systems
Assist in the collection, processing and analysis of test data
Work closely with senior engineers to support issue investigation and resolution
Contribute to validation activities, including test bench and vehicle-based testing
Participate in global test trips and development activities at customer sites
Develop knowledge of calibration tools, processes and methodologies
Qualification
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with an automotive background preferred
Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience, including placements or internships
Basic understanding of powertrain systems, vehicle fundamentals, and automotive engineering principles
Fundamental knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and automation principles as applied to automotive applications
Exposure to calibration, data analysis, or automotive communication tools (e.g. INCA, CANalyzer) would be advantageous
Understanding of CAN bus systems, sensors, actuators, and data acquisition is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship, now or in the future
