Whether you are a recent graduate, college leaver, or have some relevant industry experience, you will receive training and support from experienced professionals while working on a wide variety of underground utility and geospatial projects.You will gain hands-on experience using the latest survey technologies and have the opportunity to develop your technical skills within a growing, multi-disciplinary surveying business that offers clear career progression pathways.No previous utility surveying experience is required, although any relevant qualifications, survey experience or technical knowledge would be advantageous.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the delivery of underground utility surveys to PAS128 standardsSupport utility mapping projects using electromagnetic locating and ground penetrating radar (GPR) technologiesLearn to operate Radiodetection and Vivax electromagnetic locating equipmentAssist with ground penetrating radar surveys using industry-standard systemsSupport the processing and interpretation of survey dataAssist in producing survey drawings and outputs using AutoCADContribute to projects involving topographical and drainage survey informationWork closely with experienced surveyors to develop technical skills and industry knowledgeEnsure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standardHelp maintain survey equipment and ensure operational readinessContribute positively to the ongoing growth and development of the utilities departmentSkills, Knowledge and ExperienceA qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, Geography, Construction, Civil Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous, but is not essentialEnthusiasm for surveying, engineering, construction, geography or a related fieldWillingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityGood communication and organisational skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamPositive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in a variety of environmentsBasic knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficialFull UK driving licence, or working towards obtaining oneWillingness to travel and stay away from home when requiredWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are keen to develop a long-term career in surveying and learn from experienced professionals within a growing business.The successful candidate will be reliable, professional and motivated to develop their technical knowledge.
