A graduate environmental consultancy role working on contaminated land projects involving site investigations, data analysis, and environmental risk assessments.OverviewThe successful candidate will work alongside experienced contaminated land consultants, gaining hands on experience across the full lifecycle of projects — from first desk study to final report. No two days are the same, and “interesting” sites are very much our thing.Key responsibilities:Supporting senior colleagues with project delivery, programming and budgetsUndertaking site works on a wide variety of sites, including surveys, site walkovers, contractor supervision, and soil, groundwater, gas, vapour and air monitoringLogging soils to current UK standards and coordinating laboratory testing for soil and water samplesPreparing high‑quality factual reports, including Tier 1 desk studies, waste classifications and environmental risk assessmentsProviding input to interpretative reportingProducing risk assessments and method statementsWorking with colleagues across Arthian’s Development team and wider business to deliver integrated solutions for clientsTravelling to project sites, which may include overnight stays, out‑of‑hours work and periods working away from homeAny other appropriate tasksEssential Skills & ExperienceA degree in Environmental Geoscience, Geology or a related subjectA full UK driving licenceCompetence in Microsoft Office SuiteEnthusiasm to learn and grow with the businessFirst class communication skills – verbal and writtenProven teamworking skills Additional InformationThe role may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) across the UK and overseas, depending on project requirementsLegal right to live and work in the UK is requiredCompetitive salary and benefits package including:Full graduate training package33 days of annual leaveHybrid working patternHealth Cash PlanVolunteering DaySalary sacrifice schemes, including holiday purchase and bike to work
