Teamwork and a people-first culture are at the heart of everything we do and we wish to engage an enthusiastic professional to join our team.About the RoleKey ResponsibilitiesUndertake civil engineering design works including roads and drainage, foundation design and structural designSupport senior engineers with calculations, reports, drawings and technical documentationLearn and apply relevant standards including British Standards and EurocodesProduce drawings and sketches for practical, constructable design solutionsUndertake site visits including asset inspections and construction supportDevelop an understanding of construction methods and sequencingAssist in preparing design deliverables for clients and contractorsWork collaboratively with engineers, clients and contractorsLearn best practice for quality assurance, health & safety compliance and commercial awarenessAbout YouEssential Skills & ExperienceGood understanding of engineering fundamentalsA willingness to learn and develop professionallyGood communication and teamwork skillsFull UK driving license with flexibility to attend client sitesQualificationsA degree, or expected degree, in Civil Engineering or an equivalent related degree (Bachelors or Masters)Desire to gain Professional Qualification with the Institution of Civil EngineersAdditional InformationCareer development to include active participation in membership of professional organisations33 days annual leave (leave and public holiday combined) and the option to buy and sell holidaysContributary pension schemeEmployee assistance programmeA generous employee referral schemeOne paid volunteering day/yearFully flexible parental leave optionsCycle to work and electric vehicle schemes
