ZEISS is shaping technological progress and through its solutions is extending the horizon of the world of optics and associated areas.ZEISS consists of four segments: Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Quality & Research, Medical Technology and Consumer Markets.This is a fantastic opportunity to join ZEISS on a 12-month internship where you will gain exposure to different areas of the business, work with a variety of stakeholders, and support real continuous improvement projects that make a genuine impact.What you’ll be doing.This internship offers a unique opportunity to work across both Carl Zeiss Ltd and Carl Zeiss Microscopy Ltd, supporting multiple teams to review, understand and improve existing processes. You'll gain exposure to different areas of the business whilst contributing to projects that have a real impact on how teams work.Key Responsibilities:Engage with different teams across both businesses to understand current ways of working and key challengesMap and document existing processes to create clear, structured process flowsIdentify inefficiencies, gaps and improvement opportunities within current processesFacilitate collaboration between teams to align on best practices and consistent approachesSupport the development and implementation of process improvementsAnalyse quality and operational data to identify trends and support improvement initiativesDevelop dashboards and visualisations (e.g. Power BI) to track performance and key metricsSupport the definition and alignment of KPIs across departments and sitesWork closely with stakeholders to ensure improvements are practical, sustainable and adoptedContribute to continuous improvement projects across the businessWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor's degree or currently studying towards a degreePlacement year students, postgraduates seeking industry experience and recent graduates are all encouraged to applyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsInterest in process improvement, quality and operational excellenceCurious mindset and a desire to understand how things workConfident communicator who can engage with a wide range of stakeholdersComfortable working across multiple teams and topicsOrganised, proactive and able to work independently and collaborativelyBasic understanding of data analysis and visualisationPower BI knowledge would be advantageous but is not essentialInterest in engineering and manufacturing environmentsComfortable working with process maps and flowchartsA team player who brings enthusiasm and positivity to every callWe want you!With motivation and passion, you’ll fit right in at ZEISS!We’re looking for people who are empathetic and passionate, who are committed to achieving their goals, and who get excited about challenging topics.
