A Financial Risk Analyst role at VFX supporting credit and liquidity risk management through data analysis, reporting, and collaboration across trading and operations teams.

About VFX

VFX Financial is one of the UK’s fastest-growing FinTechs, helping complex organisations move, manage, and protect money across borders. Built for specialist sectors, multi-jurisdiction structures, and high-compliance environments, we support businesses whose needs go beyond standard banking. We’re selective about who we work with because exceptional service requires focus and commitment.

With six international offices, five regulatory licences, and an 83% CAGR over the past three years, we’re scaling rapidly and earning industry recognition along the way — including the Financial Times FT1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2026, CNBC UK’s Top Fintech Companies 2025, Wealth & Finance FinTech Awards 2025, and the Business Growth Award from Business Awards UK.

Behind it all is a team of ambitious VFXers united by collective ownership, a focus on growth, and a shared passion for solving complex problems.

About the Role

The Financial Risk Analyst plays a key role in supporting credit and liquidity risk management across our client portfolio. Sitting at the intersection of trading, risk, and operations, the role provides real-time insight into client exposures, margin requirements, and funding positions.

Working closely with the Financial Risk Manager, you will help oversee the margin call process between VFX, our clients, and liquidity providers, while contributing to credit analysis, daily reporting, and the maintenance of robust monitoring and controls.

This is a hands-on, early-career role suited to recent graduates or candidates with up to two years’ experience in risk, credit, treasury, or a similar analytical role. We’re looking for a numerate background (mathematics, finance, or similar), strong analytical skills, and most importantly, curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring client exposures and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and limits

  • Perform financial statement and trading behaviour analysis to support credit decisions

  • Maintain robust administrative and operational controls to ensure timely reviews, covenant checks and escalation of key issues

  • Collaborate effectively with Front and Back Office teams to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure seamless processing

  • Prepare and distribute of daily liquidity reporting

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of structured FX products, market risk, liquidity risk, and related operational considerations

  • Support process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk

  • Oversee margin call management for clients, including initial and variation margin, in line with contractual and regulatory obligations

  • Support the Financial Risk Manager in conducting credit facility reviews and monitoring counterparty exposures.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Financial Risk Manager, in line with the scope of the position, as reasonably required to support business and operational priorities.
