The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Graduate Front-End Web Developer to join our growing in-house product and technology team.

You will help us modernise our websites and web applications, improve user journeys, and build new AI-powered experiences that increase audience engagement, retention, and loyalty. This role is ideal for someone who loves building digital experiences and is excited by how AI is changing the web.

What You’ll Be Doing

Front-End Development

• Build and improve modern front-end experiences across Today Digital websites and web applications

• Develop responsive, high-performance interfaces for desktop and mobile

• Help modernise legacy user journeys and site functionality

• Build reusable UI components and front-end modules

User Experience & Journey Optimisation

• Improve website usability, navigation, and engagement flows

• Help optimise information architecture across multiple brands

• Analyse audience behaviour and identify friction points in user journeys

• Support A/B testing and iterative UX improvements

AI-Powered Product Innovation

Help design and build AI-powered features that improve:

• content discovery

• search

• personalisation

• audience engagement

• loyalty

Examples may include:

• AI assistants

• smarter search

• personalised recommendations

• interactive data tools

• conversational UX

Web Application Development

You’ll work on modern web apps powering our news publications and other digital properties.

This includes:

• CMS

• Client portals

• Workflow automation

• Product interfaces

Data & Platform Support

Although front-end focused, this role will also support broader platform development.

You may assist with:

• data migration

• database integration

• data enrichment workflows

• API integrations

• secure authentication and permissions

Collaboration
