Graduate Consultant role at TNEI within the Environment & Engineering Team, supporting acoustics and energy projects. The role involves noise monitoring, data analysis, noise propagation modelling, technical reporting, and supporting renewable energy/environmental assessments. A degree in acoustics, physics, maths, or engineering is required.
THE POSITION
We’re searching for a Graduate Consultant to join our Environment & Engineering Team. Applicants should come from an academic background in either acoustics, physics, maths or engineering to assist our acoustics consultants with noise propagation modelling and data analysis.
The Environmental & Engineering team assists developers in taking energy projects from conceptual ideas to buildable assets.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertaking baseline noise monitoring surveys;
Data analysis of measured data;
Noise prediction and propagation modelling;
Input to technical noise assessment reports; and
Modelling input and reporting for other technical studies, such as shadow flicker assessments.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential requirements include:
An acoustics, physics, maths or engineering related degree;
Strong general numeric and mathematical skills;
Full Driving Licence;
Proactive team player;
Excellent organisational skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Proactive and solution orientated with strong attention to detail;
Interest in energy and the environment; and
An ability to understand and explain abstract concepts in a clear way to technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable requirements:
Experience of data management and analysis;
Coding skills, especially python; and
Affiliation with the Institute of Acoustics.
