This prestigious 24-month rotational programme for postgraduates involves three eight-month international placements across the UK and Europe (Germany or Spain), focusing on the integration of AI and cloud-based software platforms into next-generation railway signalling infrastructure.

Are you ready to shape the future of railway signalling technology? Siemens Mobility, a global leader in Rail engineering and innovation, is seeking an ambitious post-graduate to join our renowned Siemens Graduate Programme (SGP). This is your chance to work on the development of state-of-the-art solutions, harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and advanced systems for our international customer base.

As part of the Global SGP, for the first 8 months you will be based at the state of the art Siemens Rail Technology Centre in Chippenham, you will then spend the next 8 months in one of our advanced Technology Centres in Europe (Spain or Germany) and the final 8 months back in the UK. The Programme is designed to develop exceptional candidates with a STEM background that have an interest to move into senior business functions.

You will be immersed in a number of different business areas, with the aim to identify your career specialism through demonstrated success. You will have access to, and be mentored by, senior executives within the company.

  • Supporting the transition to next-generation software platforms to produce shifts in technology and power productivity

  • Contributing to trials, implementation, and the successful rollout of cutting-edge solutions across the network

  • Make the UK Rail Systems future ready to unlock the power of AI and cloud-based solutions

What you’ll bring to the team: 

  • Postgraduate Degree (MSc or PhD) in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant STEM related subject area (mandatory)

  • Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through study or work (mandatory)

  • Between 3 and 4 years of work experience in a related, professional environment (mandatory)

  • Eagerness to work on innovative projects and learn from industry leaders.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Strong desire to learn and lead

  • Willingness to travel or relocate for project assignments (as required).
