AI & Automation Graduate Developer

AI & Automation Graduate Developer building AI assistants, intelligent automation tools and knowledge platforms using LLMs, Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, APIs and enterprise data systems.

Purpose and Scope

We are looking for an enthusiastic AI & Automation Graduate Developer to help develop and expand AI-powered solutions across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern AI technologies while working on real-world applications that support operations, engineering, trading, and business users.

The successful candidate will work alongside software developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to develop AI assistants, automation solutions, knowledge management platforms, and intelligent support tools.

This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale AI initiatives using Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, automation platforms, and Large Language Models (LLMs), helping transform how employees interact with systems, knowledge, and operational data.

Key Responsibilities 

·       Support the development of AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants. 

·       Help build and enhance AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI services. 

·       Assist with the design and implementation of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise knowledge sources. 

·       Develop integrations between AI solutions and existing business systems. 

·       Assist with knowledge base creation, document indexing, and intelligent search capabilities. 

·       Support the development of exception monitoring and automated decision-support tools. 

·       Work with SQL databases, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise data platforms. 

·       Test, document, and improve AI solutions before production deployment. 

·       Follow Responsible AI, Security by Design, and data governance principles when developing AI solutions. 

·       Research emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for operational and commercial value. 

·       Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. 

·       Participate in Agile development, sprint planning, testing, and release activities.

Desirable Skills & Experience

·         Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

·         Knowledge of Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.

·         Understanding of AI concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Machine Learning, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).

·         Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.

·         Experience working with SQL databases and APIs.

·         Interest in automation, process optimisation, and digital transformation.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·         Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
