Apprentice - Civil / Structural Engineering

This is a Civil / Structural Engineering Apprentice role at Tetra Tech, Newark. The apprentice will support the design of construction projects, produce detailed drawings, and gain hands-on experience in civil and structural design.

Tetra Tech is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Civil / Structural team as an Apprentice. The role will be based in our Newark office. The position will suit someone with a real interest in Civil / Structural Design.

What you’ll be doing 

• You will have the opportunity to work on the Design of construction projects.  

• Produce drawings for detailed design.

Who we’re looking for 

• Candidates are expected to demonstrate an interest in the Built Environment and Civil/Structural Design.  

• Minimum qualifications: 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including English, Maths and Science.  

• Live within a commutable distance to Newark

• Understand in more detail the type of work we do.  

• Receive a presentation from our Training & BIM manager.  

• Speak to some of our current apprentices.

Following interviews, offers will be made to the successful candidates to start employment in August 2026.
