Job Overview:

Quest Global has several opportunities available for Graduate Engineers to join a dynamic team and learn from industry experts. These permanent positions are well suited to individuals looking to gain valuable career foundation, through hands-on experience, and then advance their career in design or manufacturing engineering with a world class engineering company.

After a period of induction and training in our company offices in Derby, you will be working closely with all areas of design, analysis, manufacturing and business management, to assist with the design, production planning and analysis of aerospace components and sub-systems, helping the team to achieve agreed targets.

This exciting position offers the opportunity to progress into an established engineering role.

Main Duties & Responsibilities - examples:

• Design Engineering, Design Methodology, Computer Aided Design and Robust Design

• Failure Investigation, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action

• Mechanical Methods including Stress Analysis

• Manufacturing Engineering – Manufacturing Process Planning and Installation, Capability Acquisition, Cost Reduction and CMM programming and operation

• Programme Management including Budget controls, presentation skills and project planning

• Engineering for Services including Engine Repair and Life Cycle Costing

• Producibility and Non Conformance

• Design and Engine Development

Work Experience

Qualifications and Technical Requirements:

• Degree Level in Engineering or Science or similar

• An understanding of Gas Turbine Design/operation or Manufacturing Methods, Materials and Analysis Techniques would be an advantage

Desired Skills:

• Basic familiarity with Gas Turbine components

• Familiar with a quality CAD system such as Siemens NX

• Good communication skills, written & spoken 

• Good interpersonal skills

• Customer Focus - ability to build and develop customer & supplier relationships

• Demonstrate organisational agility

• Demonstrate problem solving ability
