This is a Software/Quality Assurance (QA) role focused on testing, deploying, and validating critical public safety software for emergency response agencies (Fire & Police). It involves leading testing activities, managing test plans, documenting results, investigating defects, and supporting customers during go-live and upgrades.

This role is primarily remote/hybrid with travel to customer sites.

Roles and Responsibilities
Leading testing activities across Factory, Staging, and Production environments, including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Establishing and managing test plans in collaboration with customers and deployment teams.
Documenting test progress, creating test exit reports, and reviewing outcomes with customers.
Managing and investigating test defects, ensuring accurate information is available to technical teams for resolution.
Creating acceptance criteria and test cases based on requirements documentation.
Supporting customers during key events, such as go-live, software upgrades, and system outages.
Assisting service management teams in resolving software defects in live service.
Basic Requirements
A formal qualification (Degree) in Computing Science or equivalent experience
Proven experience in testing and deploying large, complex software solutions for Fire agencies.
Strong understanding of software testing processes, including fault analysis and resolution.
Familiarity with mobile product deployments including MDT solutions is highly desirable.
Ability to create and implement test plans, manage test events, and document results.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, operational language.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and multiple customers.
