Two-year Calibration & Maintenance Engineering Graduate Programme at MBDA focused on equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, calibration, testing, technical documentation, manufacturing support and process improvement.

Security Clearance:

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

This role is scheduled to close for applications at midnight on Monday 2nd November 2026 but may close earlier depending on application volumes.

The opportunity:

Calibration & Maintenance Department (C&M) is part of our operations directorate, covering different aspects of support for all equipment used for both product manufacture and test.

Daily activities for a C&M Engineer vary from working hands on with the equipment on the shop floor and in the lab, to working in the office on technical documentation and drawings.

As a Graduate you'll develop skills in:

  • Diagnosing and fault finding on Test & Process Equipment

  • Authoring instructions and/or specifications

  • Drafting and publishing drawing packs

  • Analysing fault related data

  • Introducing new equipment into manufacturing

  • Calibrating Test & Measurement equipment

  • Conducting process improvements

This programme is rotational and, in each placement, you will be working amongst a team of engineers who have varied experiences and expertise, working together to support a set of equipment.

These placements may cover:

  • Electronic Engineering – Special to Type Test Equipment commissioning & repair

  • Environmental & Mechanical Test Engineering  - ESS & Pressure Test Equipment

  • Electrical Calibration – Special to Type Test Equipment & Commercially off the Shelf TE, Calibration

  • Mechanical Calibration – Positioner systems, alignment TE etc. calibration

  • Maintenance Engineering - Process & Mechanical Equipment commissioning & repair

C&M Engineers also work closely with several other functions such as Product Design, Test Equipment Design, Test Engineering and Quality Assurance so you'll get to collaborate beyond your immediate team.
