Support the Applications team by assessing customer requirements, preparing technical proposals, and coordinating engineering equipment orders from enquiry through delivery.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematical Graduate to join our Applications team. In this role you will be a crucial link between customers, sales teams, and engineering to ensure the creation of successful specifications, proposal documents and delivery of technical equipment orders.
You will need to take a technical and commercial view to the total viability of an order/enquiry by balancing commercial ambition against our engineering capability and effort.
Responsibilities
Assess customer applications to understand appropriate product specifications.
Review incoming orders for correct technical and commercial alignment. Prepare accurate proposals, including technical configurations and cost calculations.
Enter order details into ERP/IT systems and prepare formal order acknowledgments.
Resolve technical, application-related or delivery concerns.
Engage with customers to secure drawing approvals for complex orders.
Ensure all necessary documentation is created for sales support, manufacturing, testing and compliance.
Maintain an organized database of machine drawings and past designs.
Provide input for design guide updates and suggest improvements.
Assist in product testing to validate customer requirements are met.
Participate in technical enquiry meetings to support the sales process.
Requirements
Engineering or technical education.
Ability to manage high-volume customer interactions and complex sales order processes, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills applied confidently at all levels
Proficient in using related software e.g. Microsoft Office Excel to high level.
