Graduate Project Surveyor role supporting estate inspections, building surveys, planned maintenance and improvement projects for a social housing provider across Lincolnshire.

We’re seeking someone with a genuine passion for building surveying and a strong desire to grow their career in the field. This opportunity has arisen following the internal promotion of our current graduate surveyor, and we’re looking for a candidate who shares that ambition to progress. 

 

As a Graduate Project Surveyor, you’ll support the Estate Project Managers to help Lincolnshire Housing Partnership deliver high-quality estate works, adaptations, and planned maintenance across the organisation.

 

What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • A minimum level 3 qualification (or working towards) in building surveying or construction AND/OR experience in project/contract management 

  • A desire to complete academic qualifications in relation to building surveying

  • A good understanding of the social housing sector

Where I’d work:

You'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy in managing your schedule, with the flexibility to work from a range of locations including our offices in Grimsby and Boston, community hubs, home, and on-site across our estates.

 

As this is a field-based role, you'll be expected to spend time on our estates undertaking inspections, monitoring works, and liaising with contractors and stakeholders. Attendance at team meetings, project meetings, and other in-person business activities will also be required to support effective service delivery.

 

At the heart of this role is supporting our estates so that they look clean, tidy and our customers can be proud of their community, a typical week could involve:

  • Support the Estates Team in undertaking estate inspections and asset surveys to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate standards.

  • Conduct site visits across North and South Lincolnshire to inspect, assess, and validate estate conditions, assets, and environmental improvements.

  • Assist in the planning, contract administration, and delivery of estate improvement, cyclical maintenance, and environmental enhancement projects.

  • Carry out a range of estate-based inspections and surveys, including condition assessments, defect investigations, compliance checks, and post-completion inspections.

  • Undertake Health & Safety audits and estate compliance inspections, ensuring communal areas and estate assets meet statutory requirements.

  • Manage and maintain budget trackers for estate maintenance, environmental works, and planned improvement programmes.

  • Prepare and present reports for the Property Services, Estates, and Corporate Management Teams on estate performance, condition, and improvement activities.

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators relating to estate management, maintenance programmes, and customer-facing estate services.

  • Work collaboratively across Estates, Asset Management, Property Services, and Neighbourhood Teams to deliver effective estate management and customer outcomes.

  • Travel throughout operational areas as required to support inspections, project delivery, and estate management responsibilities.

  • Work under the guidance of the Estates Manager and senior management team to support the effective management, improvement, and sustainability of LHP's estates and communal assets.
