For example, your work could ensure that a global product launch happens on time—such as ethically sourced beauty and bath products stocked at local stores for your loved one's valued self-care routine. It's import and export work, but it's also so much more than we imagine.

We're looking for our future leaders. If you’re ambitious, proactive, and eager to show what you can do, this is a great way to launch your career. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the best in the business and gain valuable insights into the industry.

Our Graduate Programme is a 2-year programme, where you'll rotate around your chosen business area. You'll get a professional development qualification relevant to your business area, as well as a mentor and buddy to help you throughout your programme. Our Customs team at Kuehne+Nagel plays a vital role in keeping international trade moving by ensuring goods flow smoothly and compliantly across borders. We provide specialist expertise in customs regulations, end‑to‑end declaration processing, compliance management, and advisory support.

You’ll learn from experienced customs professionals who handle complex regulatory requirements every day, giving you exposure to a wide range of import and export processes across multiple business units. Working in Customs means joining a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment with continuous learning opportunities and meaningful responsibility from day one.

Alongside this technical training, you’ll build essential skills in communication, people management, project delivery, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement.

You’ll take part in monthly coaching, interactive workshops, and real Customs projects that allow you to apply your learning directly to live import/export processes and customer‑facing scenarios. Throughout the programme, you’ll develop a professional portfolio showcasing your technical expertise and leadership growth.

You may also have the opportunity to undertake an international placement, gaining valuable global exposure to Customs operations. This programme is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence, and behaviours needed to become an effective customs professional and future leader within Kuehne+Nagel.

We will engage with you during your programme to discuss the different routes available after completion of your programme, and where your strengths are well suited.
