An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate/Trainee HR Advisor to join our HR team in Elgin. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start and develop a career in Human Resources. This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Different working hours may be considered for the right candidate. The position is located in Elgin.
Salary for this role starts from £26,577 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role
As a Graduate/Trainee HR Advisor, you will support the HR team across a wide range of people-related activities, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of HR. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their HR career who is eager to learn and develop professionally.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Providing day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and team members across the business
Assisting with employee relations cases such as absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters (with support and coaching)
Assisting with performance management processes and providing guidance to managers where needed
Helping ensure HR policies and procedures are followed, and that we remain compliant with employment law
Maintaining accurate HR records and assisting with regular reporting and data tracking
Attending team meetings and contributing practical HR support where appropriate
Getting involved in wider HR activities and offering support wherever needed
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
Is a confident communicator with a friendly, approachable style
Has a proactive and positive attitude towards work
Is eager to learn and develop their employee relations knowledge with guidance and support
Has strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
Is comfortable working with data; experience using Excel or analysing data would be advantageous
Can handle confidential information professionally
Works well both independently and as part of a team
A degree in HR, Business Management or any related field is desirable but not essential.
