This graduate development programme provides mechanical engineering graduates with structured technical rotations across design, development, and analysis to build specialized subsea cable systems for the offshore renewable energy sector.

JDR Cable Systems is looking for driven, open-minded, and dynamic graduate engineers to join our team and contribute to the development of highly specialised subsea cable systems. You’ll have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and push the boundaries of the energy sector, as we support the global shift towards net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

 

About the Role:

As part of our Graduate Development Programme, you will be immersed in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, working on innovative projects that are transforming the energy landscape. You will gain first-hand experience by rotating through various departments, developing key skills and technical expertise in Design Engineering, Product Development, Technology and Analysis.

With tailored support from our team of experts, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into different aspects of our business, including working directly with stakeholders at all levels. You will be challenged to demonstrate excellent communication skills as you collaborate with colleagues and clients alike.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related fields).

  • Creative and solution-oriented thinking with a passion for tackling new challenges.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various teams across the business.

  • A genuine interest in contributing to the offshore energy industry and helping the world achieve its net-zero targets.

Flexible Working:

We operate a hybrid working approach, where you’ll work three days a week in the office at our Hartlepool Manufacturing facility, with the flexibility to work from home the remaining two days.
