About the role…
We have an exciting opportunity to join Team Ipsum Power Division as an Engineering Graduate - you will be shadowing the commissioning engineer and assist with undertaking Site Acceptance Testing for major items of plant - From LV up to and including 132kV Transmission Level. Circuit Breakers / Transformers / P&C Panels / AVC.
As a Engineering Graduate you will…
Develop your knowledge of LV Switchgear (Manufacturers include Brush / Schneider) HV Switchgear (Siemens / Schneider and Legacy Switchgear types)
Assist the commissioning Engineer with interfacing and setting to work of equipment, including: Assist with Substation Ancillary systems (Battery Chargers / Local Control Interface panels / HMI / LV AC Supplies etc / Comms / Scada Control Panels (RTU) Develop a wide knowledge of Protection relays including Alstom, Schneider, Siemens including Settings input / PSL / CFC / Logic diagrams.
Assist with the preparation of installation Cable Schedules and Core Sheets where deemed necessary and you will attend commissioning meetings with representatives from our clients engineering and operational teams.
About you…
You will need an Electrical / Electronic Engineering Qualification and have a keen interest in the Power / Utilities / Construction Industries
Flexibility to adapt to ever changing dynamic site conditions prior to and during planned outage works.
Ability to work proactively on your own or in a team.
It's essential that you are Safety conscious and willing to learn new skills
Full UK Driving Licence is required
