A Graduate Engineering Geologist role involving geological site investigations, soil and rock logging, fieldwork, data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder coordination, with training and professional development opportunities.
Igne is seeking Graduate Engineering Geologists to join its thriving and expanding team in GI Division in Hamilton, Glasgow. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity where you will contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale, complex ground investigation projects.
The role is suitably varied depending on base skills and will involve undertaking soil and core logging, factual reporting and data management. Whilst a relevant degree is essential, the key elements we are looking for in the successful candidate is a can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and targets.

Key responsibilities:
Conduct geological site assessments for a range of projects and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget
Undertaken soil and core logging
Liaise with key project stakeholders
Provide geological support during drilling, excavation and other field operations
Produce factual reports
Adhere to health and safety regulations throughout all phases of the projects
The following are essential requirements for this position:
Bachelor or Masters’ degree in a related subject (Geology, Civil Engineering or related discipline)
Knowledge of geological mapping, data analysis and interpretation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Full driving licence (travel is required)
One or more of the following abilities would also be advantageous but are not absolutely essential.
Knowledge and practical experience of ground investigation and laboratory testing techniques, including logging of soil and rock core samples to relevant British Standards and Eurocodes
