Scottish IT Management for Business Graduate Apprenticeship (Bachelors Honours Degree, Level 10)

Your role and responsibilities

Kick‑start your career in business and technology with IBM.  This is your chance to earn a salary, get real experience and study for a fully funded IT Management for Business degree — all at the same time.

We’re looking for someone who’s curious, motivated and ready to start building a career in business, consulting and technology. You don’t need to be a tech expert already - just interested in how technology shapes the world and keen to learn.

What you’ll be doing  

You’ll join our Project Management Office team, working four days a week at IBM and studying one day a week at university.

You’ll learn how real projects run while getting hands‑on experience with:  

• Planning and coordinating projects  

• Tracking budgets, costs and project performance  

• Analysing data and creating reports and dashboards  

• Working with clients, teams and partners  

• Helping run meetings, workshops and events  

• Managing risks, issues and project documentation  

• Supporting procurement and supplier relationships  

• Spotting ways to improve how things are done  

You’ll build real skills in project management, communication, technology, teamwork, leadership and business operations.  You’ll be studying for an IT Management for Business graduate apprenticeship.

Who we’re looking for

• You are resident in Scotland 

• You can travel to Glasgow or a client site a minimum of 3 days week. You need to live within commutable distance of our IBM Glasgow location.  This is NOT a remote role.

• You will need to be mobile as our apprentice roles are client focused, and you may find yourself working at client sites, which could require travel and staying away from home during the week.

• You have (or are predicted): 4 Highers at BBBB plus National 5 Maths and English (or equivalent)  

• Maths & English Scottish National grade C or above or equivalent.   (We may request a certificate of equivalency, which will be your responsibility to provide.)

• You can work in the UK without sponsorship  

• You haven’t already completed a degree or apprenticeship in a similar subject   

• You’re interested in technology, even if you’ve never studied it
