Develop, test, and maintain enterprise storage software for IBM FlashSystem while working in Agile teams and learning modern software engineering practices.
Introduction
Data storage is at the heart of everything we do in life. From every photo to every financial transaction, data is generated and stored somewhere in the world, be it on a customer’s own premises or in the cloud. The FlashSystem team at IBM Hursley creates resilient, high-performance and intelligent storage software that keeps business-critical systems and data available 24/7.
Our success comes down to one thing: our people. We’re hiring and looking for people with a passion to learn and contribute to the success of the FlashSystem products.
You will be joining the FlashSystem engineering team as a Graduate Software Engineer, where you will develop your software engineering and problem-solving skills while learning new technologies and working with mentors and teams within the Storage organisation. The team has commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce, where different thinking styles are valued for the strength and innovation they bring to teams.
IBM FlashSystem delivers high-performance, highly-functional solutions that make hybrid cloud storage simple for every enterprise, from hospitals to data centres. For businesses to improve their levels of insight and accuracy, analytics and AI applications are consuming enormous amounts of data.
Managing, moving and storing large data volumes with efficiency and performance requires a modern IT infrastructure with wide-ranging capabilities – from data reduction to enterprise-grade business continuity features such as ransomware detection/recovery and replication. The IBM FlashSystem family of data storage solutions is designed to meet all these needs while reducing costs and complexity.
IBM FlashSystem combines the performance of flash and a Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe)-optimised architecture with the IBM FlashCore technology and IBM Storage Virtualize software.
