This is a graduate-level Junior Supply Chain Assistant position in Nottingham, focused on supporting day-to-day stock control, tracking supplier performance, assisting with demand forecasting, and maintaining inventory dashboards.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Graduate Junior Supply Chain Assistant to join our team in Nottingham, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our end-to-end supply chain.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early career professional to gain hands on experience in stock management, supplier coordination, and supply chain reporting. Working closely with our wider operations teams, you’ll help ensure products are delivered to customers on time and in full, while supporting continuous improvement across processes and systems.
This is a varied and fast paced role where you’ll build strong foundations in supply chain operations, with real responsibility and exposure from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day stock control processes, ensuring clear visibility of inventory across product ranges
Monitor stock levels, including out-of-stock, low stock, excess, and slow-moving items
Assist with demand forecasting by reviewing trends, supplier data, and system recommendations
Maintain and update key data such as lead times, reorder points, and supplier information
Help track forecast accuracy and contribute to improving stock availability
Monitor stock alerts and communicate risks or required actions to stakeholders
Build effective working relationships with suppliers to support delivery schedules and availability
Assist in aligning forecasts, production plans, and delivery expectations
Monitor supplier performance and help identify any risks to on-time, in-full delivery
Maintain visibility of supplier constraints such as lead times, capacity, and delays
Support initiatives to improve service levels and reduce errors across the supply chain
Produce regular reports on stock levels, service performance, and supplier activity
Maintain and update dashboards, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data
Analyse trends and highlight potential risks relating to stock or supply issues
Support improvements in reporting to help drive better decision-making
Complete general administrative tasks to support supply chain operations
What We Are Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
A degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field – ideal for a graduate starting their career
Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, basic analysis)
An analytical mindset with the ability to identify and explain issues clearly
High level of organisation and attention to detail
Clear communication skills and confidence working with different teams
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership
Desirable (but not essential)
Exposure to supply chain, stock control, or forecasting environments
Experience with systems such as SAP or other ERP platforms
Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or basic SQL
