Trainee Financial Adviser

Supports the financial planning team by managing client administration, conducting research, and developing the skills needed to become a qualified Financial Adviser.

Hazlewoods is one of the largest independent accountancy firms in the Southwest, with offices across Cheltenham, Cardiff and Bristol.

Due to continued growth, our Financial Planning team is looking to recruit a Trainee Financial Adviser. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Initially, the role will be more administrationfocused, including:

▪ Supporting the team with day-to-day client administration

▪ Gathering and organising client information

▪ Learning internal systems, processes, and how we deliver financial advice

▪ Assisting with client communications and provider interactions.

As your knowledge and experience grow, you will:

▪ Start to support more technical work, including research and analysis

▪ Work more closely with advisers on preparing recommendations

▪ Develop an understanding of clients’ financial situations, goals, and attitude to risk

▪ Liaise with providers and build an understanding of the wider marketplace.

Over time, you will:

▪ Take a more active role in client meetings

▪ Support the delivery of advice and recommendations

▪ Build relationships with clients and help identify new opportunities

▪ Continue developing your technical knowledge and skills, with a view to progressing into an adviser role.

▪ Interested in building a career in financial planning

▪ Enjoys working with people and being part of a team

▪ Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills

▪ Positive attitude and willingness to learn

▪ Organised with good attention to detail

▪ Comfortable using IT systems and learning new tools

▪ Proactive and willing to take initiative

▪ Previous office or client-facing experience would be helpful, but not essential.
