About the job

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Graduate Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a successful career in finance.

Reporting to the UK Finance Manager and playing a significant role as a team member, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for administering and handling a variety of administration within the Finance function.

Contract: 13 months

 

Your tasks

  • Provide administrative support across multiple finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Planning & Analysis.

  • Assist with data entry, processing invoices, and maintaining financial records.

  •  Support month-end and year-end activities.

  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial documents as required.

  • Assist with account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate filing and document management systems.

  • Support audits by gathering and organising required documentation.

  • Respond to internal and external finance-related queries.

  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and departmental projects.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.

Requirements

  • High level of numeracy essential

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree

  • a recent graduate

  • Confident and clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written

  • Diligent with an excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work and manage own workflow, using initiative to achieve targeted results whilst promoting customer / vendor goodwill

  • Ability to quickly build credible / good relationships with the team and external customers / vendors
