A financial analyst role focused on financial reporting, tax accounting, process improvement, and month-end financial control within a global betting and gaming company.

Flutter is seeking a highly motivated recent accounting/finance graduate with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Financial Analyst within Group Financial Control. You will play a crucial role in delivering financial and management information to both internal and external parties. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of experts and actively contribute to the accurate accounting and reporting within the GFC team.
What You’ll Do
Support month-end close in line with Group Reporting deadlines for assigned areas.
Drive standardisation and automation of processes to improve efficiency and reporting timelines.
Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations across multiple Flutter Group entities within agreed deadlines.
Post and review VAT and Corporation Tax journals, including clear-downs, intercompany entries, payments, and adjustments.
Support tax compliance activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations. Engaging proactively with assigned channel owners to improve processes and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with reporting requirements.
Pursuing opportunities to reduce the monthly close process duration without compromising the quality of information produced.
Working with management to document accounting processes and internal controls.
Ensuring processes and procedures are documented and robust.
Actively participating in cross-training initiatives.
Collaborating closely with the Finance Manager – GFC Tax on various ad hoc tax projects & tasks.
Undertaking other tasks as assigned.
How you will do it:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Registered student with a recognised Accounting body
Minimum 1+ years' experience in a similar financial reporting environment
Strong academic credentials (e.g. honours degree)
Proven track record of consistent delivery in a similar role
Experience developing and implementing operational improvements
Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
Outstanding analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail
Comfortable working with high volumes of data in a highly automated environment
Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments
Experience with Oracle ERP or similar financial systems
