Finance Analyst (Graduate)

A financial analyst role focused on financial reporting, tax accounting, process improvement, and month-end financial control within a global betting and gaming company.

Flutter is seeking a highly motivated recent accounting/finance graduate with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Financial Analyst within Group Financial Control. You will play a crucial role in delivering financial and management information to both internal and external parties. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of experts and actively contribute to the accurate accounting and reporting within the GFC team.

What You’ll Do

• Support month-end close in line with Group Reporting deadlines for assigned areas.

• Drive standardisation and automation of processes to improve efficiency and reporting timelines.

• Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations across multiple Flutter Group entities within agreed deadlines.

• Post and review VAT and Corporation Tax journals, including clear-downs, intercompany entries, payments, and adjustments.

• Support tax compliance activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations. Engaging proactively with assigned channel owners to improve processes and procedures.

• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with reporting requirements.

• Pursuing opportunities to reduce the monthly close process duration without compromising the quality of information produced.

•  Working with management to document accounting processes and internal controls.

•  Ensuring processes and procedures are documented and robust.

•  Actively participating in cross-training initiatives.

•  Collaborating closely with the Finance Manager – GFC Tax on various ad hoc tax projects & tasks.

•  Undertaking other tasks as assigned.

How you will do it:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Registered student with a recognised Accounting body

• Minimum 1+ years' experience in a similar financial reporting environment

• Strong academic credentials (e.g. honours degree)

• Proven track record of consistent delivery in a similar role

• Experience developing and implementing operational improvements

• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel

• Outstanding analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders

• Strong organisational skills with close attention to detail

• Comfortable working with high volumes of data in a highly automated environment

• Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments

• Experience with Oracle ERP or similar financial systems
