Job description
Your work as an Apprentice IT Asset Manager will involve different aspects subject to changing business priorities, therefore we need people who are adaptable and flexible.
As an Apprentice IT Asset Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to earn as you learn and get hands on practice while you study towards a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification.
You’ll receive formal learning to develop crucial skills, knowledge and behaviours for your career and be part of a great team. Upon completion of the required learning and practical experience, you will:
Learn and follow established IT Asset Management processes, procedures and controls for managing software and hardware assets.
Develop your understanding of how technology assets are identified, tracked, controlled and reported across a large organisation.
Support the management of lower-risk software publishers, helping to review renewals and ensure value for money is achieved.
Use industry-standard tools and techniques to capture, maintain and report on asset information and associated data.
Support the creation and maintenance of asset management baselines in line with agreed processes and standards.
Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and help manage their expectations.
Carry out routine maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure asset data remains accurate and up to date.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT Asset Management processes and services.
Learn how to identify risks and issues, escalating them appropriately when required.
