Trainee Accountant

Entry-level graduate role in finance based in Teddington (£28k–£32k), supporting day-to-day financial operations, reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, audits, payroll, and business analysis, with opportunities to work toward CIMA or ACCA qualifications.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented graduate to join our finance team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in finance, accounting, or financial analysis, as well as supporting with day-to-day financial operations, assist with reporting, and gain hands-on experience across various finance functions.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes

• Analyse financial data and identify trends or discrepancies

• Help manage accounts payable and receivable

• Reconcile bank statements and financial records

• Assist with audits and compliance requirements

• Assist with processing payroll and providing analytical insights into trends

• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records

• Collaborate with other departments to support business decisions

• Use financial software and Excel for data analysis and reporting

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables preferred)

• Good understanding of basic accounting principles

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Willingness to learn and develop professionally, working to towards CIMA or ACCA qualification
