Position Overview

We’re on the lookout for exceptionally talented technical innovators with a first-class degree or PhD in engineering, physical sciences, mathematical sciences, or related discipline to join our Life Sciences R&D team.

You will join a team of expert engineers and scientists working on unusual, exciting projects to break new ground in medical devices and biotechnology across European and US markets.

  • Ideating and prototyping novel designs (20%)

  • Collaborating with clients and university technology labs (10%)

  • Reading scientific literature to explore new ideas and techniques (10%)

If you’re comfortable with at least 50% of the above, you’ll quickly be brought up to speed by the team for the rest.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing experiments, modelling, and analysis to solve complex multidisciplinary problems

  • Ideating and building novel tools, methods, and solutions for our medical & pharma clients

  • Supporting nonclinical, preclinical and clinical development

  • Collaborating with other science and technology experts

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • First-class engineering degree or similar (PhD is a bonus)

  • Experience in either test rig design and hands-on experiments, or computational modelling

  • Proactivity and enthusiasm for problem solving and personal growth

  • CAD modelling experience

  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders

Desirable

  • Demonstrable impact on projects is more important than number of years’ experience

  • Biomedical or clinical work experience

  • Familiarity with imaging modalities (e.g. MRI, CT, ultrasound, photoacoustic, synchrotron)

  • Capable of quickly and critically reviewing scientific papers or technical documents

  • Coding experience (e.g. Python, Matlab)

  • Comfortable with AI-based productivity tools (for research, analysis, and coding)
