Our Farming Leadership Programme offers an exciting opportunity for ambitious graduates to fast-track their career and develop into future Farm Managers through a structured 32-month development programme.
About the Programme
This immersive, rotational programme has been designed to provide comprehensive exposure to all key areas of our farming operations, equipping you with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to succeed in a leadership role.
Throughout the programme, you will gain experience in:
Indoor and Outdoor Farming Operations
Technical and Innovation
Animal Welfare and Compliance
Human Resources and Training
Health, Safety and Environmental Management
You'll be supported every step of the way by a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, coaching and development throughout your journey.
Your Development Journey
Year 1
Gain a thorough understanding of the farming business and its role within the wider organisation.
Complete 8-week rotational placements across indoor and outdoor farming operations.
Begin studying towards the Cranswick Farming Qualification (CFQ).
Year 2
Develop your operational and leadership capabilities.
Take on increased responsibility within the business.
Progress towards Level 5 of the Cranswick Farming Qualification.
Explore specialist areas and begin shaping your future career pathway.
Year 3
Refine your technical, commercial and leadership skills.
Further develop your management capability.
Position yourself for a successful transition into your chosen farming leadership career path.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals who are eager to learn, develop and build a long-term career within agriculture.
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of 96 UCAS points (or equivalent qualification).
Graduated no earlier than September 2024.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
Eligibility to work full-time in the UK.
Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
A positive, proactive and resilient attitude.
Willingness to relocate and travel to farms across the UK.
Flexibility to participate in rotational weekend working.
