About the Role

The Graduate System Verification Engineer will support the delivery of system level verification for new system designs and formal verification activities for the full system.

The primary activities include creating test protocols from the system and sub-system requirements, executing and reporting the protocol results to design teams and regulatory, and capturing and following through on any deviations or issues found during testing. 

The role includes being able to assess the impact of new requirements on the existing protocols as well as being able to derive suitable tests for new requirements (either manual or automated).

This is an onsite position with the expectation of a minimum of 4 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Definition and execution of test protocols from system, user and risk related requirements

  • Reviewing of test related documentation (protocols, reports, memorandums, etc.)

  • Supporting the creation of bespoke test environments and rigs (software, hardware or combination of both)

  • Contributing to the overall compliance of the system, and identification of gaps (including documentation)

  • Understanding system level behaviour and ensuring this is fully verified and documented

  • Monitoring and reporting test progress to the Task Lead

  • Developing process improvements to streamline test activities

We’d expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the System Verification remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:

  • Enthusiastic, curious, energetic and proactive – and interested in what CMR is seeking to achieve.

  • Good problem solving skills with a keen interest in understanding how things work.

Alongside excellent electromechanical skills gained from your degree in Engineering, Physics or other technical discipline, we would like you to have:

  • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Basic exposure to planning and executing testing (potentially as part of a university project)

  • Basic understanding of defining and creating test solutions incorporating software, electronics and mechanics

  • Experience of scripting languages such as Python or similar languages

In addition, any experience of the following would be advantageous:

  • Robotics

  • Familiarity with medical devices standards and certification
