About the Role
Contributing to electronics designs on projects and other tasks within System Development. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office.
Responsibilities
Working within a multidisciplinary project team to help deliver electronics designs and tasks.
Helping to design highly integrated PCBs which have a mixture of power, digital and analogue electronics.
Writing technical documents including detailed design specifications, technical memos and test specifications.
Working with mechanical, software and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimised for integration with other system components and the manufacturing process.
Working with internal and external manufacturing partners to ensure designs can be manufactured and tested reliably and repeatedly.
Generating and updating drawings for cable assemblies.
Taking design changes through the change management process.
Assisting with investigations into issues, setting up tests and documenting results
Assisting with taking systems through EMC and 60601 development and compliance testing
Assisting with the verification of design outputs

About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:
Good understanding of electronics engineering fundamentals and their application to real world designs.
Analogue and digital circuit design knowledge. Ideally also knowledge of motor control, power electronics, FPGA design and sensor interfaces.
knowledge of circuit design processes and tools used for schematic capture and simulation.
Some understanding of designing circuits and systems for EMC and 60601 compliance and supporting products through compliance testing.
Some experience of using Altium Designer or other CAD package to capture schematics.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
An appetite to learn and grow in all areas of electronics product development.
Technical qualification in electronics or related discipline or significant hands-on electronics design and development experience.
Some experience using PCB design CAD tools.
Some experience of practical problem solving or analysis.
Experience in a lab or test environment.
