Description
Capula is seeking a motivated Operations Graduate to join our dynamic Operations team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable experience in trade operations within a leading financial services firm.
Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive on-the-job training to understand the full trade lifecycle across various asset classes such as ETD, Equity, Fixed Income, and OTC products. The role is ideal for individuals with a keen interest in finance, strong analytical capabilities, and a good eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and manage daily trade processing, valuations, reconciliations, and settlement activities.
Collaborate effectively with Trading, IT, Legal, and Brokers to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in the implementation and documentation of strategic IT and operational process improvements.
Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
Adhere to operational risk controls and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
A strong academic record, typically a 2:1 or above, from a recognized university.
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Economics.
Demonstrated interest in financial markets and operations.
Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to build relationships across teams and work collaboratively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn tools like Power Automate, Power BI.
Coding skills in VBA, SQL, or Python are advantageous but not mandatory.
Previous internship or work experience in financial services is preferred but not essential.
