An engineering instructor role delivering classroom and practical training in electrical and electronic engineering to Royal Navy trainees.
What you’ll be doing
Delivering classroom instruction to groups of up to 24 trainees in: Electronic engineering and electrical machine principles (NVQ Level 4/5) and Basic electronics and mathematics (Level 2/3)
Conducting practical lab sessions, demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments
Administering and invigilating both paper-based and online examinations
Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency
Maintaining and updating training materials
Collaborating with Training Design staff to align content with DSAT standards and submit updates for approval
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Foundation Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline)
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Previous experience working as an Engineer

Ability to gain further qualifications and full training given
This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata’d and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
