A laboratory role conducting microscopy and analytical testing on food and drink products, including investigating contaminants, interpreting data, and producing technical reports.
Analytical Services
We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for undertaking a range of microscopy investigations which can include foreign bodies, screening products for the presence of foreign/extraneous matter, imaging, packaging and bespoke client requests.
Interpret analytical data
Prepare and issue technical reports on investigation
Consult with and assist clients with the work required or interpretation of results
Assist with the return of samples and associated activities when required
Provide technical support and advice to colleagues if required
Work in a safe manner in accordance with departmental policies
To keep neat and orderly records of results and other relevant information

An investigative mindset
Relevant degree (Forensic Science/Biology/Chemistry)
A background in SEM (Scanning electron microscopy)
Great attention to detail
Able to commute to Chipping Campden five days a week
Own own vehicle and valid UK Driving License
