We're looking for a motivated, ambitious and commercially minded Graduate Surveyor to join our growing Land & Development team in September 2027.

Based at our office in Oxford, you'll gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio while working alongside industry-leading experts and building the foundations of a successful surveying career.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across our Residential, Planning, Commercial and Operational Living teams, you'll benefit from a broad and well-rounded learning experience while developing the skills needed for a successful career in surveying and development consultancy.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in land & development consultancy, supporting the delivery of appraisals, reports and strategic advice for a wide variety of clients.

Our Graduate vacancies are due to close on Saturday 31st October 2026, however we reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a high volume of suitable applications. We therefore encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible.

What you’ll be doing

As part of our highly regarded Land & Development team, you'll work alongside experienced professionals advising landowners, developers, institutional investors and corporate clients across the Eastern Region and beyond. From identifying development opportunities to helping maximise land and property values, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of projects and property sectors from day one.

Some of your key duties may include:

  • Carrying out research and valuations to develop lines of enquiry and identifying residential development land opportunities.

  • Co-ordinating the collation and distribution of documentation for tenders and sales particulars.

  • Undertaking marketing of single-build plots and small development sites whilst assisting the marketing and sale of larger sites.

  • Drafting reports to advise clients on cooperation agreements, option agreements, conditional contracts and general planning advice.

  • Carrying out viewings at development sites.

  • Creating and maintaining a database of residential development opportunities, together with a database of comparable sales transactions.

  • Preparing presentations to both landowners and developers, promoting Bidwells’ services with the aim of winning planning and development work for the firm.

  • Utilise and maintain contacts on our centralised system – HubSpot.

  • Identifying and promoting opportunities for other Bidwells services associated with land development and in particular, securing New Homes instructions and work for other divisions.

  • Maintaining APC diary and undertaking all necessary work in connection with the APC timetable and requirements.

  • Providing administrative support to the team to ensure relevant paperwork and client files are kept up to date.

What you’ll achieve

As a Graduate Land & Development Surveyor, you'll gain hands-on experience across a broad range of projects while working alongside experienced professionals. You'll develop your technical expertise, build client relationships, contribute to project delivery and work towards achieving RICS Chartered status.

You'll have the opportunity to grow alongside us, and we're committed to supporting your progress every step of the way. We'll provide extensive assistance and tailored support to help you work towards your RICS APC, where our strong first-time pass rate speaks for itself.

You'll also join our two-year graduate development program, designed to enhance your personal effectiveness, commercial and financial acumen and client delivery skills. This program will help you build a robust foundation for a successful career in the property sector, taking you beyond your current technical expertise.
