Role description
Learning and applying Quality Management principles to support the 3 Lines of Defence assurance model through the engineering and manufacturing lifecycle.
Learning and applying a wide range of Quality tools and techniques to undertake problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions and improvements.
Learning and applying the Quality System (ISO 9001, AQAP 2110) standard into the organisation to ensure consistency of outputs to expected standards, creation of value and achievement of customer requirements.
Learning and applying the Operational Framework and Operational Assurance Statement.
Learning through placement, the disciplines of Quality Assurance, Quality Control Supplier Assurance and Quality Improvement.
Undertaking assigned assurance activities and root cause analyses investigations using proven methodologies.
Undertaking of governance and control of the business management system to ensure high levels of compliance.
Stakeholder and customer engagement through a hierarchy of reviews.
Quality Risk Management and applying mitigation actions.
Core Duties
Support activities relating to Quality certification (ISO 9001) contractual and regulatory requirements.
Undertake assigned activities associated with Quality Management (Improvement, Assurance and Quality Control), Risk Management and Data Analysis.
Implementing containment, correction and corrective (preventative) actions to mitigate risks and prevent repeat failures (being proactive rather than reactive).
Access and understanding of Quality toolsets, the Business Management System including policies, processes, procedures and supporting documentation.
Undertaking of data analysis, identifying themes to enable evidence based decision making and driving corrective action to deliver cross functional improvements.
Promoting a positive Quality culture across Functional areas – encouraging others to predict, prevent and protect the Business Unit.
The Naval Ships Team
We design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world.
