Edwards Vacuum Graduate Mechanical Engineer role completing structured rotations while supporting the design, development, testing and continuous improvement of mechanical systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Over the course of the programme, you will complete a series of rotations designed to give you broad exposure to the business, build your professional and technical skills, and help you discover where your strengths can make the greatest impact.

Main Responsibilities –

• Complete a series of structured placements across mechanical engineering functions over a two-year graduate programme. 

• Support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems used within semiconductor manufacturing equipment. 

• Contribute to live engineering projects, applying mechanical principles to solve technical and operational challenges. 

• Produce and maintain drawings, bills of materials, and associated engineering documentation. Creat accurate 3D parts and assemblies in CAD, applying correct constraints and ensuring designs are ready for manufacture.

• Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities. 

• Support root cause investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.

• You are a highly motivated engineering graduate with a minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.  

• You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are eager to learn, and enjoy working collaboratively to solve complex technical challenges.
