Role description:

Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, sitting along client work and real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to.

You will build your technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, whilst business acumen and professional skills will be developed through centrally delivered graduate cohort training.

Although there are no formal rotations, graduates are encouraged and supported by their managers to proactively seek opportunities, to broaden their experience and support their development.

As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW you will specialise from day one in your chosen discipline. Working in teams of consultants you’ll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise.

You’ll work on a range of environmental and planning projects which may include major infrastructure, urban regeneration and community focussed projects that will expose you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.

Role accountabilities:

Soil Science – Our Soils team, led by the current President of the British Society of Soil Science, has more than 30 years of experience undertaking soil, peat and Agricultural Land Classification surveys across a wide range of landscape types and protected areas.

You will assist in undertaking surveys, processing and analysing data, assessing impacts associated with land use change, writing soil handling strategies and developing habitat creation, restoration and translocation approaches.

  • Accepted degrees: BSc or MSc in a relevant environmental topic with a significant soil science component

Qualifications & Experience:

  • You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree

  • You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player

  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.

  • Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)

  • Hold a full driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK

  • Comfortable with Site based working, when required for projects
